Our annual RRC Roundup is the only event of its kind in the United States!
Held over a weekend in autumn, the Roundup is our way of encouraging members to meet and share experiences while learning from RRC coaches and guest speakers.
This year’s Roundup will be held the last weekend of September in Grapevine, Texas. Conveniently located near DFW Airport, Grapevine blends Texas-sized fun with small-town charm.
We’ll begin with a Meet and Greet Friday afternoon where RRCers can catch up with old friends from the club and meet new ones. Roger and the gang will be there to hang out and chat with everyone.
Saturday is a full-day seminar opening with keynote speeches and moving on to our popular breakout sessions in which members gather in small groups with guest speakers and RRC coaches to discuss a wide range of retirement and pre-retirement topics.
This year’s Roundup features keynotes from Christine Benz of Morningstar, Retirement Researcher Wade Pfau, PhD, and The Retirement Answer Man® himself, Roger Whitney, CFP®. A few of the breakout sessions on Saturday include: How to Use the RISA to Choose Your Withdrawal Strategy, Navigating a Solo Retirement, Tax Efficient Strategies, and Creating New Identities in Retirement.
The Roundup closes on Sunday at 12:30, after a final keynote and two more rounds of breakout sessions that include: Understanding MoneyGuide Elite Results, Figuring Out Your Fun Bucket and How to Use Budgeting Software to Help You Rock Retirement (among other topics.) In addition to the planned activities, club members often gather in smaller groups throughout the weekend to enjoy local attractions and flavor. Grapevine offers a variety of activities. Stroll down historic Main Street, where charming boutiques, wine tasting rooms, and local art galleries invite a slower pace. Step back in time on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad or unwind at the scenic Botanical Gardens, a peaceful spot for a morning walk. Enjoy live music, cozy cafes, and delicious dining throughout town. Whether you're sipping local wines, browsing antique shops, or simply soaking up the small-town charm, Grapevine offers a warm and welcoming escape with plenty to do at your own pace.
